We are hosting our first Open House of the year tomorrow, the 6th of July, from 10 AM to 4 PM. You’re in the area, right? OK, so time management seems to have failed me but at least I’m a day ahead!

The Creamery has been tidied up, the cheeses have been cut and the tents go up tomorrow morning. We’re at 208 1st Ave E here in Polson. Thru 16Jan13 013Look for the dancing Cheese head on the corner of Hwy 93 and 2nd Street E leading you north towards the lake. Signs will direct you to turn right onto 1st Ave E. Beware that it is a dead end and not all that big so parking will be directed (thank goodness for friends!!) and you may have to park a bit away but it’s all fairly close and definitely worth the walk.

We’re setting up a Hospitality tent where refreshments will be offered while you wait for the next tour to begin. Joe does such a lovely job reviewing how we built the facility, the make up of our Solar Thermal array and what it does for us, as well as the pasteurization and make process involved in the creation of cheese – he’s the best tour host ever.

I’ll be outside under the big yellow tent we use for Farmer’s Markets offering up samples of the cheese we make. You can try them all and even take home a few pieces – they’ll be for sale, along with our signature FLC Logo patched Hawaiian shirts (offered for the first time this season). We loved the idea of recycling just once more (Joe will explain the others) with classic Hawaiian shirts with our logo patches on them rather than creating new t-shirts.

It’s great fun and we hope to see you. If it’s just not in the cards for you to travel to Polson in the next few hours, fear not. We have a walk up window and would love to see you anytime Monday through Saturday from 9-5 or at one of the many Farmer’s Markets we  participate in.

Happy Independence weekend and travel safely, where ever your wanderings take you! Thru 16Jan13 009
